This site is dedicated to the memory of Hannah Maier.

Hannah passed away peacefully on Monday 30th March. She was much loved and is sadly missed by family and friends.

Hannah's ashes rest within the gardens at Kenwood House and along the River Thames behind The Botanic Gardens in Oxford. She loved visiting both these places.

A memorial to Hannah is displayed in the Book of Rememberance at Golders Green Crematorium and also a rosemary shrub has been planted in the gardens in her memory.

Hello Kate It is lovely to hear from you to remember Hannah today on her birthday. I have thought of her often the past few months and had that feeling of someone's birthday at this time - it is hers. I will visit her Much Loved Tribute Site. I hope you and your family are well. With all good wishes Rebecca

From her favourite artist (see photos), this is in memory of Hannah Maier, my wonderful friend whose birthday it would have been today if she were still with us. I think of you every day, more so when I see a hot guy I think you would approve of. Sarah xx

Dear Kate, thank you so very much for remembering Hannah’s birthday, we unfortunately can do only in mind and not, as often before, personally. Ursula and I were very touched to have some news from you at this occasion! Our phone calls on 9th December were regularly an occasion to speak of her mother Bea too, whose anniversary was the day after, the 10th December. And every year Bea wrote a birthday letter to England to “celebrate” the two closely linked events. In the letters and phone calls these dates (9th and 10th December) were the occasion of remembering the happy years at Reutlingen before the rise of Nazism. Remembering their German roots was, since I knew Hannah and your father, was a great need. And I suffered with them thinking of their destiny and I admired them to have found the force to forgive and to come back to Reutlingen and Gemmingen. In remembrance of Hannah and her mother Bea I would like to light two candles and contribute an photograph of Hannah as a girl of about 5 years and her mother, when they visited in 1927 Baden-Baden. With love Wilhelm and Ursula
